ELECTIONS
We have a new secretary! Jennifer Davis has been elected.Thank
You for volunteering to run and Thank You to Janalee Andrade for her many years of service as she steps down from this post.
Thank you also to Steve Emma who has joined the Executive
Board
Buck Leach has volunteered to be our new
Field Trip co-coordinator. Thank you, Buck. Don Fail has also volunteered to help Buck.

Don address is 1969 Bay Rd. Sharon. The way to get there is as follows:
95 North to Rt.140 S. Mansfield
Rt. 140 S. on 140 your going to take a left hand turn on to To 106 E. It's the
Second light.off of 140 S.
Stay on 106 E. for About 4 miles.
You will come to Four Corners, there's a Mobil Gas
station on you left turn there.
As soon as you turn you want to take another left on to Bay Road. You'll be in Easton.
Go down 3 miles, when you come to some "S"turns you'll be about 1\2 mile. On the left we'll have a sign
say R.I.H.M with arrow. Its a dirt road, stay to you r right and go to the top of the hill. We'll be there to park everyone.

EDUCATIONAL
PROJECT
We will
have our 1st meeting on Saturday January 28th at 1pm at Rachel Cesana’s.Bring your ideas on how to best approach schools, what can we accomplish with our
minerals in educating our youth, what should we put in the collection we want to donate as good representations of the minerals
of RI, what materials will we need to accomplish our goal,etc. etc. In other words..bring your thinking caps
Directions: From Providence: Take
RT 146 north past the RT 295 interchange, then past the traffic signal (only one on hwy). After signal get in left lane to
follow RT 146 toward Worcester. Take the exit marked Slatersville/Forestdale. At end of exit ramp take a right. At the light
take a right onto RT146A. Go to next light and take left onto St. Paul St.. Follow St. Paul St to yellow brick school turn
left into school and church parking lot and bear left to small street (Chapel St.) toward back of parking lot. Tony’s
house is beige with unpainted garage. From South: Take RT 295 north to
exit 9B. Follow signs to RT146 (left lane off exit) Continue same as above From East Bay area take RT195 West to RT 95 north to exi8t for RT 146. Continue as above From Boston &
Pawtucket. Take RT 95 to Rt 295 south and take Exit 9B . Follow signs to Rt 146 North and continue
as above from anywhere else call Rachel at 401-766-9076 for directions
WINTER:
There will be no general meeting in January and February. There will be Board meetings and we would encourage you to
attend if you can as this is where all our planning takes place. We will let you know time and place in the newsletters.
Remember
that our auction has been changed to April. Winter is a great time to reorganize and sort your finds, make labels
for everything you want to keep, so you remember where you found them, and put aside anything you would be willing part with
and would like to sell at the auction. Grouping items into small flats to sell together is another option that seems to work
well.
